Johnson & Johnson Looks to Raise Event Attendance of Qualified Candidates

The Challenge

Johnson & Johnson (J&J) needed to find qualified manufacturing candidates for large networking events in Pennsylvania and Indiana.

In order to continue the growth of their talent community, J&J holds several networking events when they are in need of quality candidates on a large scale. However, J&J needed help reviewing the qualifications of high quantities of interested candidates as well as confirming candidates who were interested in attending two networking events in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and Warsaw, Indiana that was approaching fast. The VRG team of recruitment specialists teamed up to review and screen inbound candidates and deliver only the best candidates for J&J’s needs.

Velocity's Solution

In partnering with Johnson & Johnson, the VRG team was able to reach out to a high volume of roughly 350 candidates between the two locations by phone, email, or even social media. We spoke with candidates to indicate interest in the J&J networking events on a specific date at a specific time. All 350 candidates were screened and sorted based on basic criteria provided by J&J and the VRG team was able to provide full resumes for each candidate, ensuring that only the most qualified, available, and interested candidates were confirmed to attend the events.

The Outcome

After the VRG team worked around the clock to find a high volume of qualified candidates that fit J&J’s needs and were available and interested in attending one of the two networking events, the client saw an astounding 95% attendance rate! This percentage is compared to J&J’s typical attendance rates of 60% at events in the past. This kind of sourcing, screening and confirmation of qualified talent with a successful turnout opens up several opportunities for J&J to acquire only the best talent for their company needs, saving them countless hours of search and avoiding wasted time with dead-end leads.
